Welcome to the Kingsley

The Kingsley Art Club is a grassroots organization that encourages the appreciation and teaching of the arts.  Anyone interested in learning about the arts is invited to join.

Mission Statement

The Kingsley Art Club promotes the knowledge and appreciation of art among its members and the community, and encourages the teaching of the arts.

We achieve the mission by:

  • Sponsoring an annual lecture series
  • Sponsoring trips to regional museums, art exhibits and artist  studios
  • Providing an Elementary School art docent program 
  • Providing merit award scholarships to art students in community colleges throughout the region
  • Contributing financial support to the Crocker Art Museum through the Capital Campaign and other programs
  • Sponsoring a juried art exhibition for emerging California artists

Monthly Meetings

  • Current membership:  Approximately 265 members
  • Meetings:  Monthly, on the third Wednesday of the month, September-May
  • Location:  Crocker Art Museum Auditorium
  • Format:  Lecture Series with illustrations
  • Speakers: Working artists, academics, museum curators
