Meet at the Museum to tour an exhibit featuring
photographer Dugan Aguilar (Maidu/Northern
Paiute/Achomawi) and editor Theresa Harlan (Kewa). The
exhibition celebrates the publication of their new
book, ”She Sang Me a Good Luck Song,” and a
retrospective exhibit of Aguilar’s work. Lunch following at
Peg’s Glorified Ham & Eggs, Roseville.
The deYoung exhibit “J.M.W. Turner: Painting Set Free” features
the luminous works of Britain’s greatest artist of the 18th
century. “Disney and Dali: Architects of the Imagination”, at the
Disney Museum, is the story of two giants of art and
entertainment, Salvador Dali and Walt Disney.
Well-known watercolor painter and portrait artist will talk about
his history as an artist, illustrated with example of his work,
including the 9′ x 20′ watercolors recently installed in the new
Sutter Medical Center.
A multi-disciplinary artist examines where she takes her dues for
her artistic expression. She will present some of her key
sources: found, noted or sketched, historic and talismanic and
how they inform her thinking.
